Polytron PSU 1000
Polysulfone (PSU) is an amorphous thermoplastic with good hydrolysis resistance and a continuous service temperature of 150°C. Compared to the other polyarylsulfones (PES, PPSU), PSU has the worst property profile and is therefore often used as a substitute for Polycarbonate (PC) is used when, for example, higher temperature resistance and better hydrolysis resistance are required. The material is mainly used for components in the Food- and Medical technology.
Main features
- Good hydrolysis resistance
- Good transparency
- Heat deflection temperature 170°C
Polytron PSU 1000 is yellow-transparent and, with a value of 85%, has the highest light transmission of all high-performance plastics.
