Radel® 1000 (PPSU)
Radel® 1000 is a polyphenylene sulfone (PPSU) made from the original Radel® R raw material from the company Solvay Advanced Polymers is produced. Compared to the other polyarylsulfones, it has better impact strength and chemical resistance.
PPSU is characterised by its extreme resistance to hydrolysis, which means that the material can be sterilised with superheated steam an almost unlimited number of times. For this reason, Radel® 1000 is used in particular for Medical technology parts which are repeatedly subjected to autoclaving cycles.
Main features
- Best hydrolysis resistance
- High impact strength
- Heat deflection temperature 200°C
Although Radel® 1000 is an amorphous and therefore basically transparent plastic, it is usually supplied coloured. The standard colour is black, other colours are available on request.
