High-density polyethylene (PE-HD)

Semi-crystalline high-density polyethylene (HD = high density) has an average molar mass of up to 300 thousand g/mol. The plastic has a high impact strength and a very low coefficient of friction by nature. The material is approved for contact with food and is particularly suitable for components subject to low mechanical loads.

PE-HD can be thermoformed and can be welded. The material can be processed by injection moulding and there are extruded and pressed semi-finished products.
