Nylatron 4.6 (PA 4.6) - Polyamide 4.6
Polyamide 4.6 (PA 4.6) is a temperature-resistant, semi-crystalline polyamide made from the original DSM® raw material STANYL®. In contrast to the other PA grades, PA 4.6 has a significantly higher melting point and a higher degree of crystallisation.
PA 4.6 retains its rigidity and creep resistance over a wide temperature range and is therefore suitable for use at higher temperatures. The material has a relatively high coefficient of friction and is therefore only recommended to a limited extent for sliding applications.
Main features
- Balanced mechanical properties
- Higher heat ageing resistance
- Heat resistant up to 160° C
