PLASTICS
Special plastics
The term speciality plastics, like the term high-performance plastics, is not precisely defined and is often used purely for marketing purposes.
We use the term special plastics to summarise polymer materials that have properties that are unusual for plastics or that have been developed solely for specific applications and can only be used sensibly there. This means that plastics mentioned elsewhere can also be listed - in modified form - under speciality plastics.
- Plastics for magnetic field concentration (MDM)
- Plastics for high-frequency applications
- Porous plastics for sliding and pressure applications
- Defines electrostatically dissipative (ESD) plastics
- Biocompatible plastics for medical, bio and pharmaceutical technology
